Kisumu Smash 2027 is the inaugural edition of what will become East & Central Africa's premier table tennis championship — officially sanctioned by the Kenya Table Tennis Association and affiliated with ITTF Africa.
Held over Easter weekend at Lake Basin Mall, Kisumu, the championship brings together the region's finest players across 20+ categories — from grassroots juniors competing for the first time to seasoned veterans chasing glory. This is more than a tournament. It is a statement about what Kisumu and the Lake Region can produce.
Organised by ATTA Spinace MGT LTD, East Africa's leading table tennis sports management company, Kisumu Smash is built on infrastructure, professionalism, and a genuine passion for the sport.

Lake Basin Mall is Kisumu's premier commercial and events complex, located in the heart of the city. The championship hall provides a world-class playing environment with ample space for multiple simultaneous courts, spectator seating, and full event infrastructure.
The venue is centrally located with easy access from hotels, the airport, and public transport hubs — making it ideal for both local athletes and international visitors.
Kisumu International Airport (KIS) receives direct flights from Nairobi (Wilson & JKIA). Journey time approx. 45 minutes. Several airlines operate this route daily.
Multiple bus and shuttle operators run overnight and daytime services Nairobi–Kisumu. Journey approx. 6–7 hours. Easy Coach, Modern Coast, and others serve this route daily.
We will be running a scheduled shuttle bus service with a fixed route covering major hotels and drop-off points to and from Lake Basin Mall throughout all 5 days of the championship. Route and timetable to be published closer to the event.
Tuk-tuks, boda bodas, matatus, and taxis are widely available across Kisumu. The venue is accessible from all recommended hotels within 15 minutes.
Connect via Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), then domestic flight or road to Kisumu.
